Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox is a Scottish born and bred singer. She was born on 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox, who studied for three years at the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. The budget of her was augmented by a stipend for students and part-time jobs. Lennox was able to make a change in her profession after she became dissatisfied by her inexperience in contrast to the other Royal Academy students. Lennox played the flute in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. She left the band before the band went on I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. She was the vocalist of The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. In this band, she was met by Dave Stewart. Together they created the Eurythmics pop duo. Then, Lennox began working on her solo first album Diva that was released in 1992. Commercially and critically the album was a massive achievement. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record was released in November 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is composed of Lennox's favourite blues, jazz, and soul songs from her childhood. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox released Lepidoptera a collection of four piano pieces that she improvised. This E.P. The album is a companion of her "Now I let it go... art installation that was exhibited at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first self-released album. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is an activist, philanthropist as well as a performer. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some recognition in the 1970s. Later, Lennox was joined by the band with fellow musician Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox started her solo career by releasing her first album Diva in 1992. The album was the inspiration of many hits songs such as Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It features cover versions of some songs, including The No MoreI Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo albums include six studio and compilation albums. |
